End of The Station 2012

So Hi Again!

I made a game for a Russian contest "End of The World 2012". I made it in 5 days.
It's a quick metroidvania prototype about a strange accident on Station 2012 and a hero to investigate the matter. Why did he go there? Is it a kind of a mision? Someone sent him? Or did he have intention to visit the long forgotten place? Pirate? Scientist? Trooper? Politician? What is he seeking there? Who knows, even I don't know yet. :D

Whatever anybody says I'm proud of this small but nice game - at least I was able to finish something in 5 days I couldn't in 4 years!

August Haha!

Hello visitor, last time we met I didn't have any hope to continue work on my project cause I really got frustated on reworking the game from beginning to the end because of instability of the engine(it's pretty stable now), ladies and gentlemen, it's Construct! You may have heard about Minitroid Demo

So the author made this game in Construct! Must admit he's working much better with the program than me. He found an optimal decision for his fan game - pixel graphics, while I tried to make it HD. Years passed and only now I started to understand what should I really do to achieve a good result! Still thinking out how to finish the game without needing to rewrite it from scratch again! D: I'm also thinking about making my own game from this, so probably it won't be X-Child anymore! I suspect it will be something like A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda, but easier and PC only(great pity).

Another inspiration was a video of an untitled Unity based game which made me happy, just look at how their hero looks much like mine! :D This is awesome! So I decided to return my mind back and get to work... NOW!

Bad News

Sorry for being away for too long, I didn't do what I promised because of engine instability and my laziness. I'm currently busy with a musicial project http://www.indiegogo.com/Ultra-Pack , so I'll get back to work on early December. Btw I improved my style a lot since July, here's a pic from my commercial project

New details about the game itself: there will be WASD+Mouse, not ZX+arrows, gun will be controlled with a mouse, so gameplay will change a lot. That's all.

June Demo!

The very first version of tech demo is ready! It's very small and there are not so many features, however it's way better than no demo at all.

Soooo, the demo is just one room with player and test bot.

System requirements:

PS 2.0 support
Latest DX9
1.8 Ghz
GeForce 6600 would be fine

From this day I'll be publishing tech demos once a month. Cheers and do not forget to become my follower, subscribe to RSS and spread a word about this project. Cheers! :)
